Easily the best acting course I've been on, with engaged tutors who are extremely passionate, knowledgeable - and free from the unhelpful pretension that one can find in the acting world. The focus on having a safe environment and making sure everyone was comfortable was also appreciated. The materials used were engaging, and the techniques we learnt were all explained comprehensively and were useful. Having 2 'visiting' tutors was also very useful, as they were able to give different outlooks and insight on our work. I felt like myself and everyone else visibly improved over the 8 weeks. An excellent course overall!

Ryan has helped mentor me through countless auditions and performances working with a range of texts spanning from Beckett's 'Waiting For Godot' to Shakespeare.
He provides nuanced insight into classic and contemporary texts, and opened doors for me as an actor by encouraging me to play and take risks. He has a wealth of knowledge on drama schools, agents and the way the industry functions.

I have known Ryan since I was at drama school and have been a colleague, peer and friend since. Ryan is excellent at picking out peoples’ strengths and amplifying them, finding their areas to improve and working collaboratively on a process to strengthen them.
Ryan has worked in detail with me on my own characters to this day and the level of passion and diligence he gives to whatever is needed is unbound. When I have been fortunate enough to have Ryan analyze my own work, the feedback I received has improved it immeasurably. Ryan helped me to develop a few characters I had for online content and we, together, fleshed them out into a level of detail I simply have never had with other characters.
Ryan also analysed my first novel when I was at the drafting stages and his (extensive) feedback made the novel far more rounded. I simply could not recommend him enough.

I have been working with Phil on a one-to-one basis since the summer of 2012. Having never worked professionally in the English language before, even though I could speak it, I needed a lot of help to be able to attend auditions and also perform in the language. From working on my pronunciation and enunciation it gave me the confidence I needed to start booking jobs again. I would then even bring texts to him I was struggling with where he would help me find the intent and simplify for me what I should play towards.
Even now, years later and my work portfolio has diversified from theatre, I still require his services when I am prepping for a large voice over job or when I am coaching others on technical subjects and need my voice to carry to the last row in the auditorium and lay the emphasis correctly, Phil is the coach I need.
